Thank you for supporting water rights in Harrietsfield

My neighbours and I would like to thank Ecojustice supporters for calling on the Nova Scotia Minister of the Environment to clean up the contaminated site polluting our local water supply. More than 3,000 people sent Minister Margaret Miller a letter during our #HelpHarrietsfield campaign.

That’s a remarkable outpouring of support. Thank you!

For nearly a decade, my neighbours and I have been without access to safe, clean water. We have been fighting to protect our basic human right to water with the support of lawyers with Ecojustice and East Coast Environmental Law Association — all the while maintaining our daily lives as best we can.

Our collective voices have made sure the Minister knows where thousands of people stand when it comes defending our right to clean, safe water. You give us hope that change is possible!

Harrietsfield is a small, rural community, and your support throughout this campaign has amplified the voices of concerned Harrietsfield residents loud and clear. Thank you for standing with us.

With gratitude,

Marlene Brown, Ecojustice Client
