Won is a lawyer practicing class actions as a principal of Kim Orr Barristers in Toronto. He is nationally recognized as one of Canada’s leading litigators and for more than a decade has been listed one of the top 500 lawyers in Canada by LEXPERT/American Lawyer Magazine. Since 1994, Won has served as the Editor in Chief of Canadian Cases on the Law of Insurance published by Carswell/WestLaw. In 2012, he launched Kim Orr Class Action Monitor with Thomson/WestLaw. The Monitor is published bi-weekly and surveys developments in Canadian class action practice. Won has served as a Trustee and Chair of the Board of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and is a co-founder of the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association. Won has also served as a Member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Won lives in Toronto and splits his time outdoors in Muskoka and Caledon on weekends.
