Originally from British Columbia, Reid moved to Ottawa in 2018 to obtain his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Ottawa. After taking Ecojustice’s University of Ottawa clinic course in the fall of 2019, Reid joined Ecojustice as a summer student in 2020, an Articling Student in 2021, and finally as a Staff Lawyer in 2022, working out of Ecojustice’s Ottawa office since then.

As a member of the Climate and Nature teams, Reid’s work focuses on holding governments accountable for their role in the climate crisis, and protecting the environment and communities from harmful effects of projects and industry.

In his free time, Reid enjoys exploring trails and waterways near Ottawa, playing and listening to music, and canoeing on the Salish Sea with his Grandpa when he has a chance to visit family in BC.

Reid is grateful to be a guest on the traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg people, who have cared for the land he lives on since time immemorial.
