Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Ottawa, Peter obtained his M.A. in public ethics from Saint Paul University and the University of Ottawa (writing his thesis in intergenerational environmental justice), and his B.A. degree in philosophy and classics from Dalhousie University.
Peter has a strong background in public interest environmental law, having worked on environmental law reform at both the House of Commons and the Senate of Canada while also serving as Vice President of the Environmental Law Students Association in Ottawa. Peter is passionate about promoting grassroots organizations and ENGOs, having worked with and volunteered for organizations like Animal Justice and Ecology Ottawa. Peter became interested in environmental conservation after protecting baby turtles in Algonquin Park, where he used to spend his summers.
