Tamunobelema doubles as an LL.M candidate at the University of Ottawa with concentration in Global Sustainability and Environmental Law and a summer student at Ecojustice Ottawa’s Office. She gained her LL.B degree from Afe Babalola University (Nigeria), after which she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar. Since becoming a lawyer, she has worked with various legal organizations and carried out researches on various themes in environmental law. Her core interests include climate change mitigation and adaptation, recycling practices, food security and poverty alleviation, reforestation and afforestation practices, environmental rights enforcement, oil spill cleanup measures, and renewable energy. She generally loves board games, especially scrabble and chess, and she enjoys swimming and golfing.
