When the National Energy Board (NEB) recommended to federal cabinet that it approve Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline project, we knew we were going to have our work cut out for us.

And we were right. Today, Cabinet announced its approval of the Kinder Morgan project.

The decision flies in the face of precautionary, science-based decision-making and takes Canada in the wrong direction on climate change. We can’t let it stand without a fight.

We have less than a month to bring a legal challenge against Cabinet’s decision.

This means that from now until the deadline, Ecojustice lawyers will be busy analyzing the decision and the law to help our clients decide the best course of action.

Your continued support has ensured that we’ve been able to stand strong throughout each step of this project’s review process. And we hope you will continue to stand alongside us in our fight.

Please make a special gift today and make sure that we are able to continue to stand strong against the Kinder Morgan project and protect British Columbia’s iconic killer whales.
