Healthy Communities
Healthy communities are places where we can live, work, and play in close contact with community and with nature. Whether they be urban or rural, healthy communities place a minimal strain on the planet’s resources while trying to maximize those things fundamental to happy living: community, contact with nature, equity, and care for future generations.
Much of the casework of Ecojustice, therefore, aims to establish and expand healthy communities coast to coast to coast, connecting the dots that link environmental and public health and ensuring that all citizens enjoy their fundamental right to a healthy environment.
