Keith Ferguson’s career with Ecojustice began as a co-op student, and then moved to articling student before taking on a full-time role as staff lawyer in 2006.

Before turning to environmental law, Keith obtained a BA in mathematics from Cambridge University, an MSc in computer graphics from Oxford University, and a PhD in medical imaging from the University of Calgary. His work experience is equally far-reaching and includes accounting, aircraft simulation, teaching and paragliding instruction.
He completed his law degree at the University of Victoria, and during that time worked with the Northwest Territories government and with the Polis Project on Ecological Governance.
Keith’s recent work includes the Mackenzie pipeline hearings, fighting mine projects in British Columbia’s Taku watershed and beside NWT’s Nahanni National Park, protecting at-risk species in the courts and through law reform, and working to help reduce the risks from offshore oil and gas drilling.
Originally from London, England, Keith has lived in western Canada for nearly two decades.
