Staff Lawyer and Climate Change and Energy team lead Karen Campbell is passionate about reducing the impacts of energy development on people and the planet.

She joined Ecojustice with a specific mission in mind – to use the law to reduce the impacts of oil and gas developments and to help to tackle climate change and its effects. Karen arrived at Ecojustice in 2011 after working with West Coast Environmental Law and the Pembina Institute.
Karen has been involved in the opposition of Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline and the Kinder Morgan TransMountain pipeline expansion.
Karen’s family, including her two young sons, spends as much time as it can on the beaches and mountains of the Pacific Northwest – by bike, ski or foot.
