Ecojustice Executive Director: Devon Page
“Every day, Ecojustice proves that the rule of law is our most powerful tool for fighting the bulldozers, chain saws, oil drills, and smoke stacks that harm the environment. What can I say — nature needs us.”
Devon Page joined Ecojustice in 2001 as a staff lawyer. In 2009, he took the reins as Executive Director, a position he still holds today.

Born in Shaunavon, Sask., Devon studied law at the University of Saskatchewan, and spent the early part of his career in private practice.
His contributions at Ecojustice include some of the earliest lawsuits launched under Canada’s Species at Risk Act, lawsuits for the protection of Canada’s northern spotted owl, and a precedent-setting victory at the Supreme Court of Canada that forced the full recognition of the economic value — including non-market intangibles — of natural resources in cases of environmental harm.
During his tenure as Executive Director, Ecojustice has expanded to include an Alberta office, which has already emerged as a leader on tar sands and oil policy. He continues to provide strategic leadership for across the organization for our lawsuits and legal action, while also building Ecojustice's presence across across the country to prepare for emerging environmental challenges.
Devon lives in Vancouver with his wife Paula and their golden retriever Willow.
