STAFF SCIENTIST - OTTAWA
The Staff Scientist will occupy a unique position that involves teaching, supervision and coordination of Ecojustice Clinic science students at the University of Ottawa. These students will be contributing to ongoing Ecojustice projects under the guidance of the Staff Scientist, who will also liaise with other Ecojustice lawyers and science staff across the country. The Staff Scientist will be engaged in “problem-based” pedagogy that facilitates science student contributions to, and understanding of, public interest environmental law work.

ARTICLING POSITIONS
Ecojustice offers a unique articling experience, focusing on environmental law. We are currently seeking an articling student for our Vancouver office for the 2013-2014 year. Responsibilities will include general litigation support (legal research, assisting in drafting pleadings, preparation of case books etc.), and working with both staff lawyers and science staff on litigation related projects. Applicants should have an interest and background in environmental law and a desire to work in the public interest area.The articling student would be entitled to basic health benefits, including medical, dental and life insurance. We also pay the tuition fee for the PLTC.

Volunteers have been a critical part of our success and we welcome interest from anyone wishing to volunteer with Ecojustice throughout the year. We often have a variety of legal, scientific and administrative projects available for volunteers interested in either short or long-term commitments.
